About us

Culture in Action is an NGO created in 2009 with the purpose of promoting culture in Cypriot society. Furthermore, Culture in Action aims to facilitate networking between several culture groups in a local and European level and to inform and explore issues of social exclusion through organizing various cultural events that will motivate the local society. Culture in Action has already organized many successful events and activities, such as educational events in cooperation with the European Union, the annual short film festival “With Brand  new Eyes – Screenings for an Island”, and the first poster exhibition in Cyprus concerning society problems in cooperation with the Technological University of Cyprus. We also participated in the organization of the bi-communal theatrical camp ‘Crossroads II’ in 2011. The 1^st Short Film Festival ‘With Brand New Eyes’ was awarded by the ‘Engage – Do your part for Peace’ programme for its successful contribution to civil society.
